During the new year, some major changes are planned, a non-profit organisation which is currently in a fundation phase will complement the NETWORK and Media/Art/Cologne will be transformed into the official site of this organisation, whose aims will be to support the NETWORK and its art related activities financially via public and private funding and be the physical cooperation partner.

The NETWORK and later also the new organisation will focus 2009 basically on three major fields of activities

1. soundart –> SoundLAB and the new database for soundart to be initiated –> SAD - Sound Art Database,
and releated events

2. video art –> VideoChannel and
–> CologneOFF - Cologne Online Film Festival, and related events

3. netart –> JavaMuseum - Forum for Internet Technology in Contemporary Art and the new database for netart - NAD - Net Art Database - to be initiated later in 2009, and related activities online and offline.

The physical premiere of CologneOFF IV - 4th edition of Cologne Online Film Festival will take place at Museum of Contemporary Art MACZUL in Maracaibo/Venezuela in the framework of the 6th Salon de Arte Digital
together with additional screenings of CologneOFF III festival selection, CologneOFF III Feature: Nick Fox-Gieg and VideoChannel Videoart from Ukraine curated by Yarina Butkovska and the solo presentation of Agricola de Cologne’s
retrospective, entitled: Some Minutes of a Time - time based art 2004-2008

Wilfried Agricola de Cologne is happy that the presentation
“The NETWORK - a challenge in New Media” was selected for participating in ISEA2008 Singapore (25 July - 3 August 2008, International Symposion on Electronic Art, a bi-annual event takes place each time at another world metropole). Unfortunately, the artist and creator of The NETWORK will be not able to make personally his presentation, but Elif Ayiter (Sabancı University Istanbul/Turkey) and herself ISEA 2008 presenter will do it instead of him.

Selections of CologneOFF I & CologneOFF II will be screened on ENTER Caravansarai - a four days festival in Istanbul/Turkey - 27-30 June 2007
